ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: To honor achievements in Cricket and the association with Pakistan Navy, the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi on Monday conferred renowned cricketer Fakhar Zaman the rank of Honorary Lieutenant.
A Special Epaulette Award Ceremony was held at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
Fakhar Zaman joined Pakistan Navy in 2007 and started his Cricket Career in 2012 while he was serving in Pakistan Navy.
Due to his extraordinary Cricket skills, Pakistan Navy provided him an opportunity to continue his professional career.
While congratulating Fakhar Zaman, the Naval Chief highlighted that Pakistan Navy has produced players that earned laurels for Pakistan, and would continue patronage sports at both national and international levels.
The CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi also bestowed shields to the Director of Media and Communication at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Sami Ul Hasan and Cricketer Umar Gul.
