Pakistan Captain Babar Azam has sealed the top position in the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, surpassing the Indian Captain Virat Kohli.
The 26-year-old Babar Azam bagged the top position after he scored 103, 31, and 94 runs respectively in the three-match ODI Series against South Africa.

Babar Azam is only the fourth Pakistani batsman after Zaheer Abbas, Javed Miandad, and Mohammad Yousuf to attain the ICC ODI Number One Ranking. He is also the first Pakistani batsman to achieve the feat since Mohammad Yousuf in 2003.
So far Babar has featured in 80 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Pakistan, and with an average of 56.83, he has scored 3,808 runs. In his 78 ODI innings, he has smashed 13 Centuries and 17 Fifties.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will take on South Africa in the third T20I at Centurion on Wednesday.
The four-match T20 Series is levelled 1-1.
Earlier, Pakistan won the three-match ODI Series against South Africa 2-1.
