SRINAGAR, Kashmir: Indian atrocities against innocent people in Occupied Kashmir have intensified and the forces martyred two more Kashmiris in Pulwama district.

The casualties occurred when the Indian occupied forces opened fire during a search operation in Rajpura area of Pulwama district.

Earlier, the security forces martyred six people in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) during the so-called search and cordon operations in Srinagar, Baramulla and Kupwara districts.

Meanwhile in his weekly media briefing in Islamabad on Thursday (January 31, 2019), the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal reiterated Pakistan’s demand to the International Community to force India to stop using brutal force against innocent Kashmiris.

We urge the international community, especially the upholders of human rights, to call upon India to immediately put an end to the human rights atrocities in IOK,” Dr Faisal said.

It is also worth noting that the Indian troops martyred 95,265 Kashmiris from January 1989 to December 31, 2018, according to the new statistics released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service (KMT).

During the last 29 years, the Indian troops arrested 145,504 Kashmiris while 7,120 died during the custody.

Pakistani Community observing Solidarity Week in Belgium

In the meantime, the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels is observing Solidarity Week from Friday (February 1, 2019) to express solidarity with people of Occupied Kashmir.

In this connection, the Embassy has organized a Conference at Press Club Brussels today.

On the occasion, members of EU and Belgian Parliaments, human rights activists and scholars will highlight the struggle of people of Indian Occupied Kashmir for their right to self-determination.

The Embassy has also arranged a photographic exhibition of Human Rights violations in occupied Kashmir at its premises, which will continue for one week.

Several activities will be organized by the Pakistani Community residing in Belgium and Luxembourg during the week.

The 5th February is observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day by the people of Pakistan within the Country as well as abroad.
