SRINAGAR: The Indian troops have martyred 95,265 Kashmiris from January 1989 to December 31, 2018, according to the Kashmir Media Service (KMT).

As per the new statistics released by the Research Section of KMT, during the last 29 years, the Indian troops arrested 145,504 Kashmiris while 7,120 died during the custody.

The Kashmir Media Service said that 22,896 women were widowed, 107,754 children were orphaned whereas 11,111 women were gang-raped or molested in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

In addition, according to the KMT, 109,201 structures including houses, shops, and commercial buildings etc were arsoned and destroyed in the Occupied Valley.

The Kashmir Media Service also released statistics mentioning the casualties during the going uprising began after Burhan Wani’s extra-judicial killing by Indian forces on July 8, 2016 in Bumdoora village of Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

These statistics states that during the uprising, 755 Kashmiris were martyred, 25,264 tortured/injured, 9,905 arrested, 57 killed in custody, 3,002 houses destroyed, and 903 women gang raped/molested.

Only in December 2018, 31 Kashmiris were martyred by Indian troops, 375 were tortured/injured, 162 were arrested while four women were gang raped/molested.
