Islamabad, Pakistan: The National Assembly of Pakistan on Tuesday will discuss possibilities of making laws to ensure compulsory drug test of students in colleges and universities of Islamabad Capital Territory.

The bill titled “Compulsory Drug Test of Students in Colleges and Universities of Islamabad Capital Territory” will be moved by parliamentarian Asyia Naz Tanoli.

Drug and narcotics use in educational institutions of capital city of Pakistan appeared in headline this year when different non-government organisations claim in their surveys and researches that over 30% students of colleges and universities in Capital of Pakistan are drug users.

It is pertinent to mention that Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan had already started crackdown to snub supply of drugs in educational institutions recently. Use of drug is on increase among girls in educational institutions, report regional papers from city of Multan.

The province of Sindh is also planning to introduce compulsory drug test of colleges and universities students at the time of providing them admissions.

Parliamentarian from treasury benches Asyia Naz Tanoli will move the bill on the floor of the House if allows by Speaker national Assembly today.

The House of National Assembly is expected to discuss the issue of issue of the quality of the imported powdered milk in the country.

The motion for discussing quality of imported powdered milk is moved MNA Nighat Parveen Mir under by rule 259 of Business of House.
