Lady health worker killed after being kidnapped in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Unknown persons killed a lady health worker after kidnapping her from her house in the area of Chamkani police station in Peshawar, media reported on Monday.

On Sunday night, around eight armed men stormed house of lady health worker in Chamkani and took the woman away at gunpoint.

Following her kidnapping, her family members and other people staged a strong protest and blocked the Peshawar-Islamabad motorway near Chamkani for about an hour on Monday.

The protesters dispersed when police assured them that they would recover the kidnapped lady. However, later her dead body was found near Gulozai area.
