OTTAWA, Canada: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on ‘Scientific and Technical Cooperation’ was signed between the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, Pakistan and the Brock University, Canada in Toronto (ICCBS-Brock University agreement).

Professor Dr. S. Ejaz Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Mathematics & Science, Dr. James Mandigo, Vice-Provost, Enrolment Management & International and Dr. Gervan Fearon, President & Vice Chancellor were the signatories from Brock University. On behalf of ICCBS, the Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui signed the MoU.

ICCBS-Brock University agreement

As per the MoU, the Brock University and ICCBS would cooperate in exchange of scientists, research scholars and specialists for the purpose of research, training, consultation and exchange of expertise. Other areas of cooperation include exchange of scientific and technical information, organization of seminars and conferences or training courses and formulation and implementation of joint research programmes.

The MoU also aims at setting up joint laboratories or pilot stations in research and development activities, co-supervision of M.Phil/Ph.D and joint studies related to development of suitable technological processes, procedures and products.

Referring to announcement of Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, Ukrinform reports that Czech Republic will continue to provide support to Ukraine to repel and stop Russian aggression. "As you know, my country has launched an initiative on ammunition. By the end of the year, 500,000 large-caliber shells will be delivered. We will not stop there.
