ISLAMABAD: The Eid al-Adha will likely be celebrated on October 16 across Pakistan as there is a possibility of Zil-Hajj moon to be sighted on the 6th of next month.

The first Zil-Hajj will be on October 7 so the Eid will be celebrated countrywide on October 16, according to the statistics of Meteorological Department.

On the other hand, the Meteorological Department said that Zil-Hajj moon will be clearly visible on the evening of October 6 in southern parts of the country.

In order to appear for the moon, its age must be at least 40 minutes which, on October 6, will be 44 minutes in Karachi and 55 minutes in Jewani.
