ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Abdur Rahim Wazir and Motasim Billa Khan have been elected as the President and the General Secretary of Pakhtoon Lawyers Forum respectively.
In the first ever elections of Pakhtoon Lawyers Forum held at the Shuhada Hall in F-8 District Courts, Islamabad, Abdur Rahim Wazir, who belonged to District South Waziristan, was elected as the first president of the forum.
Likewise, Motasim Billa Khan was elected as the general secretary and Ashfaqur Rehman as the secretary finance of the forum.
Pashtoon lawyers from Islamabad cast their votes and elected their Cabinet members through a democratic process.
The Chairman Election board Salimullah Khan Roghani advocate announced the results of all the successful candidates.
A large number of Advocates from Islamabad District Bar Association and members of Islamabad Bar Council were present on the occasion.
The newly elected president and other Cabinet member vowed to strive for the welfare of the lawyers of Islamabad bar and to enrich the potentials of young lawyer through legal education and to strengthen the mother bar.
