LAHORE, Pakistan: Walk-through gates will be installed at entry and exit points of Safari Zoo Park and Lahore Zoo.

Director General Wildlife & Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan said this while addressing officers and officials during his visit to check security arrangements at Lahore Zoo and Safari Zoo Park on Monday.

He said that every visitor would be checked though-walk through gate and scanners for ensuring foolproof security at these places.

Khalid Ayaz Khan directed Deputy Director Safari Zoo Park Syed Zafar-ul-Hassan to install cameras on emergent basis at entrance and other important places and security lapses detected through monitoring of cameras should immediately be removed.

The DG also directed incharge officers of Safari Zoo Park and Lahore Zoo that security staff should remain alert while police authorities have also been requested to increase patrolling near these places.
