ISLAMABAD: The leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Friday proposed the name of Mian Muhammad Ajmal, a former judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, for the slot of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Shah proposed the name during his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Friday which discussed the appointment of NAB chairman.

Later, talking to media Pakistan People Party (PPP) senior leader said that the prime minister did not put forward any new name for the slot.

The prime minister and the opposition leader will meet again on Saturday and it is expected that consensus will be made on the appointment of NAB chairman.
