KARACHI: The Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry on Monday upheld the decision of Sindh High Court and rejected appeal of Shahrukh Jatoi, the main accused in the Shahzeb murder case, seeking not to run his case under anti-terrorism law.

An anti-terrorism court had awarded death sentences to Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur. However, on September 9, Shahzeb Khan’s parents decided to pardon those convicted of their son’s murder in the ‘name of Allah.’

Shahzeb Khan was gunned down on night of December 24, 2012 after an altercation with Siraj Talpur’s servant.

Later, Siraj Talpur his brother Sajjad Talpur, their servant Ghulam Mustafa Lashari and Shahrukh Jatoi were charged and convicted of the murder of Shahzeb Khan.
