ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood on Monday said the government would soon start the registration process of religious seminaries.

Talking to media representatives in Islamabad, the minister said the registration of religious seminaries was aimed at to ensure equal educational opportunities to the students studying there through bringing reforms.

Shafqat Mahmood said they were committed to ensure the contribution of seminaries in the national development.

The minister said the government was also planning to launch a comprehensive program in all the four provinces to enroll the out-of-school children and uplift the quality of education. He said the federal government would extend all-out assistance to the provinces for strengthening the education system in the Country.

The federal education minister said the uniform national curriculum was an indication of national spirit and it would bring further improvement in the education system.

In addition, he said all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) across the Country would announce the results not later than August 15. He said like schools, religious seminaries students would also appear in BISEs exams.

Shafqat Mahmood further said the subject of education would continue to fall in the provincial domain as enshrined in the 18th Constitutional Amendment.
