Punjab CM announces setting up Dolphin police unit on pattern of Turkish police

LAHORE: A Dolphin Police Unit on pattern of the Turkish Police will be set up to check street crimes in Punjab, the provincial Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced.

In a meeting with a visiting delegation of Turkish National Police in Lahore on Saturday morning, the Punjab chief minister said that the first unit will start working by the end of this year.

The Punjab chief minister said that the Punjab Police Integrated Command and Control Centre project will be completed this year on the lines of Istanbul Command and Control Centre.

The head of the Turkish delegation assured all out cooperation for establishing the Dolphin Unit and the Command and Control Centre in Punjab.
