ISLAMABAD: Najam Sethi has been appointed as Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday dissolved the governing body of the PCB and also sacked Chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf.
The prime minister, who is also patron-in-chief of the PCB, constituted an eleven member committee headed by Najam Sethi and including Shehriyar Khan, Zahir Abbas, Navid Akram, Shakil Shaikh, Iqbal Qasim, Yousuf Khokhar, Amir Tariq Zaman to manage the affairs of the cricket board on an ad-hoc basis.
The adhoc committee appointed Najam Sethi as the PCB chairman who said in a statement that the committee, which has been tasked with drafting a new constitution within four months, will have full powers.
