3.4 magnitude earthquake jolts Lahore, surrounding area

LAHORE: A 3.4 magnitude earthquake jolted various cities of Punjab province including Lahore, Faisalabad and Sheikhupura on Thursday evening; however, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.

The epicenter of the quake was near Hafizabad at a depth of 66 kilometers, according to the Met Office.

Tremors were also felt in Hafizabad, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Nankana Sahib, Sharaqpur and surrounding areas.

Moreover, tremors were also felt in various parts of North Waziristan tribal region.
