LAHORE, Pakistan: The Shura of Raiwind Tableegi Markaz has issued the schedule for the upcoming Tableegi Ijtima, according to which the annual Muslim congregation will begin in Raiwind Markaz near Lahore on November 5, 2015.

Under the Raiwind Tableegi Ijtima 2015 schedule, one of the largest Muslim gatherings in the world has been divided into 17 sectors (Halkas), each accommodating people from three, four or five districts.

The 2015 Tableegi Ijtima will take place in two parts. First part will be held from November 5 to November 8 whereas the second is scheduled to commence from November 12 to November 15.

In the first part, Halka no 12 has been reserved for the people from Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Kashmir, Talagang and Attock while Halka no 13 is reserved for the people from Bannu, Karak and Lucky Marwat.

The people from Dir, Chitral and Bajaur will be placed in Halka no 3, the people from Sargodha, Khushab, Bakhar and Mianwali in Halka no 5 whereas the people of Sindh excluding Karachi will be settled in Halka no 8.

The second part will begin on November 12, for which five sectors (Halkas) have been set up. Halka no 2 is reserved for the people of Gujrat, Gunjranwala, Narowal and Sialkot; Halka no 9 for the people of Gilgit, Kohistan and Baltistan; Halka no 14 for the people of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan and Lodhran; Halka no 16 for the people of Kohat, Hangu, Kurram agency and Orakzai agency while Halka no 17 will contain the people from Mardan, Swabi, Dargai and Malakand districts.

Every year, millions of people from the world participate in Raiwind Tableegi Ijtima at which leading religious scholars from different parts of the world including Pakistan, India and Bangladesh arrive and deliver sermons.

The religious scholars urge the faithful to follow the principles of Islam in letter and spirit and propagate its message throughout the world.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
