LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab University has donated worth Rs 3 million to the Chief Minister’s Fund for Coronavirus.

In this regard, the Vice Chancellor Punjab University Dr Niaz Ahmed Akhtar met the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore on Thursday, and handed over him an Rs 3 million cheque on behalf of the University’s teachers and staff.

   

The Chief Minister praised the spirit of the Punjab University’s teacher and staff.

As of now, Punjab remains the worst affected province in Pakistan wherein 4,590 people including 772 in the Provincial Capital Lahore only have been diagnosed with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The virus has already taken 69 lives; however, 790 patients have been recovered now.

The Punjab government has so far conducted 66,030 COVID-19 tests.
