The two most successful teams of Asia Cup – India and Sri Lanka – will play at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday in a Super 4 Match of Asia Cup 2022.

Following the debacle against Pakistan, the significance of today’s game for India has soared manifold as another defeat might knock them out of the competition.

Whereas Sri Lanka’s two back-to-back victories especially the last one against Afghanistan have certainly boosted their confidence and put them in a better place as compared to India.

For today’s game, Avesh Khan, who missed the last match against Pakistan for suffering from fever, is likely to return to the Indian playing XI.

The bowling all-rounder Axar Patel may also replace leggy Ravi Bishnoi. Though Bishnoi was the most economical bowler for India in the last match against Pakistan and he also picked up the all-important wicket of Babar Azam.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka will prefer to go with the same playing XI.

India vs Sri Lanka Head to Head in T20Is

Of them, India won 17 T20Is and Sri Lanka 7 while one T20 at Guwahati on January 05, 2020 was abandoned due to rain.

In 2022, they have been face to face three times in T20Is and India emerged victorious in all of them.
