DUBAI: Lahore Qalandars will face Quetta Gladiators at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday in the 18th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The match is scheduled to begin at 09:00 pm as per Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
It is a must win game for Lahore Qalandars to occupy the fourth position on PSL points table as three teams including Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United have already qualified for the play-offs but now the competition is between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars to go through the next round.
Currently, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators have 10 points each, Islamabad United 6 points while Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars have 4 points each on HBL PSL points table.
The event will continue till February 23 when final will be played between the two top teams in Dubai.
On February 14, the PSL Chairman Najam Sethi through his twitter messages invited the Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to attend the HBL PSL final in Dubai.
Sethi called upon both the dignitaries to “put politics aside and watch cricket!”. However, according to media reports, the PTI Spokesman Naeemul Haq said that Imran Khan would not be able to reach Dubai due to his personal engagements.
