PESHAWAR: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) would support the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate for presidential election Mamnoon Hussain.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the parliamentary party of the JUI-F with Maulana Fazlur Rehman in the chair late Monday night.

The presidential election would be held today (Tuesday) in which two candidates PML-N’s Mamnoon Hussain and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Justice (retd) Wajihuddin are left in the field after the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) announced to boycott the polls and Zafar Iqbal Jhagra, a covering candidate for Hussain withdrew his candidature.
