Talking to newsmen in Islamabad‚ the PPP leader said his party will act upon the Charter of Democracy.
Senior PPP leader Rehman Malik has said his party recognizes the mandate of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and wishes it to complete its five-year tenure.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad‚ he said the PPP will play a constructive and positive role as opposition.
He said his party will act upon the Charter of Democracy signed between the two parties.
Rehman Malik said the PPP will support good steps of the new government‚ but will oppose all measures against the interests of the country and the nation‚
The former interior minister said the PPP and MQM will work together in the new assemblies.
He said he will not flee the country‚ as some elements are unleashing baseless propaganda against him.
