PoliticsPML-N in favour of South Punjab province: Shahbaz Sharif

RAJANPUR, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was in favour of South Punjab province and the government had already passed a resolution in that regard from the provincial assembly.

Talking to the media in Rajanpur after inaugurating CT scan, Gynae ward and some other modern diagnostics facilities at District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital, Shahbaz Sharif said the government had spent 42 to 45 percent resources in South Punjab against its population ratio of 31 percent.

Shahbaz Sharif said if people would give PML-N another chance by electing them again in upcoming general elections 2018, then journey towards progress and prosperity would continue with a great pace.

The Punjab Chief Minister hoped that the Country would be at top in terms of provision of education, healthcare and other infrastructure to citizens as compared to neighbouring countries of the region. He said Punjab generated over 5,000 MW electricity during last five years and also added it to national grid.

The Chief Minister said the DHQ hospital of Rajanpur was matching with any quality hospital of Europe where all modern facilities including CT scan, X-ray and quality medicines were available for citizens without any discrimination.
