LAHORE, Pakistan: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz on Monday said people had rejected Supreme Court’s verdict in Panama Papers Case against Nawaz Sharif who, though, accepted it for supremacy of law.
In her address at PML-N workers’ convention in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said no corruption had been proved against the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Maryam Nawaz also appreciated the morale of party workers, and said PML-N was flourishing in the Country.
The PML-N leader said people would vote for PML-N on September 17, and make Kulsoom Nawaz win with an overwhelming majority from NA-120 Lahore-III. She said Kulsoom Nawaz spearheaded the party when Nawaz Sharif had been forced to go in exile after 1999 military coup.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said the campaign for NA-120 bye-election would end with effect from midnight falling between September 15 to 16.
The ECP asked political parties and the candidates to follow the provisions of law and exercise self-restraint so that the by-poll could take place in an orderly and peaceful manner on September 17.
