PoliticsParliamentarians hope positive role of PTI in parliament

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Parliamentarians on Monday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should now shun politics of criticism and allegations and work for strengthening democratic norms and supremacy of the parliament.

Talking to media after election of Speaker National Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party’s Fehmida Mirza said after re-election, Ayaz Sadiq would hold more authority to conduct the assembly proceedings and maintaining disciple. “He is very noble person and his decision to get fresh public mandate is much appreciable”.

Awami National Party (ANP) MNA, Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said Ayaz Saddiq had returned to the parliament in more honorable and dignified manner.

He said talking about rigging and character assassination of other politicians had been trademark of PTI Chairman. After that Ayaz Sadiq had decided to re-contest election, it would have been much better that he was elected unopposed.

PML-N parliamentarian Tehminia Doltana said that Ayaz Saddiq had successfully accepted the challenge of re-polls in NA-122 and remained successful. “His win is victory of the democracy.”

MNA Maiza Hameed said his win was infact victory of the constitution.

“He is very humble and neutral person and would continue his neutrality as custodian of the House”, she said, adding he always treated MNAs with respect.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that Speaker’s election was a big day for democracy as people have once again given verdict in favour of Ayaz Sadiq.

“Democratic norms are now going to further strengthen in the country”, he said.

Hamza Shahbaz commented that PTI Chairman Imran Khan should now stop levelling baseless allegations of rigging and concentrate on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where people have given vote to his party.
