ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Central Information Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Omar Sarfaraz Cheema has said that capitalizing Nawaz Sharif’s ailment for vested political interests by Maryam Nawaz is extremely reprehensible.

While responding to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s presser, Cheema said that her stance regarding Nawaz Sharif’s illness has been rejected by both the High Court and the Supreme Court.

The PTI leader said that from day first both father and daughter duo resorted to lies and deception instead of telling the truth.

Omar Sarfaraz Cheema said that Maryam Nawaz’s narrative is lethal for PML-N itself and added that her today’s presser brought into open the divisions within house Sharif. He said that Shahbaz Sharif is supremo of the party but it seems Maryam Nawaz seeks to hold the reins of the party. He went on to add that PML-N leadership wants to get rid of the influence of Maryam Nawaz.

Cheema said that in the light of directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the federal and provincial government leave no stone unturned to provide best medical facilities to the former prime minister.

“Maryam Nawaz should not mislead nation anymore”, he remarked adding that from the Apex Court to the trial courts, Mian Sahab was given opportunity according to the law to defend himself and following a trial of 25 months, he was sentenced.

Concluding the statement, Omar Sarfaraz Cheema said that instead of playing politics over her father’s illness, Maryam Nawaz should make preparations to return the looted wealth of nation.
