ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) on Wednesday blocked the Quetta-Chaman Highway for the traffic as part of its ‘Plan-B’ aimed at to pressure the federal government to implement their demands.

Last night while addressing the sit-in participants near Peshawar Morr in Islamabad, the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman asked his party workers to come out of their homes to execute the ‘Plan-B’ which involved blocking major highways and trade links across the Country.

“This movement will be given so much strength that it will not be possible for this government to stay in place,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman told the sit-in participants.

Talking to media today, the JUI-F leader Maulana Abdul Wasay told that they along with Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) activists have blocked the Quetta-Chaman Highway at Syed Hameed Cross for the traffic under the ‘Plan-B’.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan described the Plan B of the JUI-F Chief as a senseless political plan saying that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is failing to comprehend what to do next.

In a tweet, Dr Firdous asked the JUI-F Chief to rather bring forth a democratic and public plan. She said that the JUI-F Chief should refrain from any irresponsible act.

In addition, she said that all plots to stoke instability in Pakistan will fail.
