ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief Organiser Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Saifullah Khan Nyazee has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran will add to historic ties between the two Countries.

Prime Minister Imran Khan accompanied by a high level delegation undertook a two-day visit to Iran from April 21-22, 2019, during which he held in-depth one-on-one and delegation-level talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, and called on the Iranian Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

In a statement, Saifullah Nyazee termed the prime minister’s visit to Iran significant in mobilising bilateral ties between the two Countries.

“PM Imran Khan’s visit will open new vistas of trade and cooperation between the two neighbouring countries and pave the way to economic prosperity and both countries can play critical roles jointly to deal with the challenges faced by Muslim world”, he marked.

The Chief Organizer PTI said that Pak-Iran relations are marked by close historic, religious, cultural and territorial linkages and strong people-to-people exchanges.

“In regional politics both Countries have a significant role to play”, Saifullah Nyazee said, adding that the visit will help in creating a conducive environment in the region which will help dismantling terror infrastructure especially across Pak-Iran border.
