PoliticsImran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed may commit suicide: Rana Sanaullah

FAISALABAD, Pakistan: The Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday lambasted Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and Chairman Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed, saying both these demented persons might even commit suicide.

“It is quite possible Imran Khan and Sheikh Rasheed will commit suicide,” Rana Sanaullah said while talking to media in Faisalabad, naming both the leaders as Devil of Pindi and Dumb Khan.

Rana Sanaullah said those who were afraid of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif might attack the system or commit suicide.

The law minister said those who wanted the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif gained nothing except the disappointment. He said the whole World considered the person eligible against whom endeavors were made, seeking his disqualification.

The Punjab Law Minister said Sheikh Rasheed shouldn’t have been allowed to enter in the premises of Supreme Court.

Furthermore, he said voters, Parliament and Shahbaz Sharif stood with Nawaz Sharif.

Rana Sanaullah said Challenges faced by Muslim Ummah were being discussed by Sharif brothers in Saudi Arabia’s visit. He added no sit-in plan was under consideration during Saudi Arabia’s visit.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in the day, the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar accepted all petitions – one of which was filed by Sheikh Rasheed – against Election Act 2017, and set January 23 for hearing while issuing notices to all concerned parties including Nawaz Sharif.

The petitioners challenged an amendment to the law that permitted a disqualified politician to head a political party.
