ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A total of 28,626 Candidates submitted their nomination papers across the Country for general elections to be held on February 08, 2024, according to the details shared by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The details showed that 7,713 Candidates including 7,242 males and 471 females submitted their nominations to contest the upcoming elections from various National Assembly Constituencies.

Whereas 18,546 Candidates including 17,744 males and 802 females submitted their nominations for provincial assemblies’ seats.

In total, 1,824 nomination papers were filed for reserved seats for women in both National and Provincial Assemblies while 393 Candidates submitted their nominations to secure seats reserved for non-Muslims.

The details further showed that 5,278 nominations were filed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 358 in Islamabad, 13,823 in Punjab, 6,498 in Sindh, and 2,669 in Balochistan.28,626 Candidates file nomination papers for February 8 general elections
