Membership Free of Islamabad Club

The Islamabad Club is functioning under the ambit of Islamabad Club (Administration) Ordinance No. XXXIII 1978 and the Islamabad Club Rules & Regulations made thereunder. Accordingly, members are entitled to use the Club facilities and are also entitled to invite guests to the Club.

The Islamabad Club was allotted an area of 352 acres as per following details:

  • Main Club measuring 11.46 acres
  • Golf Course measuring 233.4 acres
  • Polo Ground, Cricket Ground, Futsal measuring 102.5 acres
  • Riding Club & Others measuring 5.5 acres

Islamabad Club Membership

The Islamabad Club offers membership to various classes including Honorary Membership for the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The Parliamentarian Membership for sitting members of the Senate and National Assembly, and Service Membership for high-ranking government and defense officers, among others.

Additionally, there are categories for diplomats, non-diplomats, corporate entities, and private individuals, each with specific conditions such as employment status, residency, and social standing.

Memberships are granted through a selective process requiring endorsement of the Club’s senior members with 10 years of membership standing as a proposer and seconder of the applicant under rules and regulations of the Club.

Sacrifices in war against terrorism won’t go waste: PM Shahbaz

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has reiterated the unwavering resolve of his government and the armed forces of Pakistan to root out terrorism from the Country.

Presiding over the Federal Cabinet meeting held in Islamabad on Tuesday, he strongly condemned the terrorist incidents in Balochistan and other areas of the Country that resulted in the martyrdom of innocent Pakistanis including the security forces’ personnel.

The prime minister said that the sacrifices rendered by the people and the armed forces of Pakistan in the war against terrorism will not go waste.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the armed forces of Pakistan and the entire nation are committed for complete elimination of terrorism from the Country.

In addition, he said that all available resources would be provided to the armed forces to curb terrorism.

The prime minister said that doors of dialogue are open for those who believe in Pakistan and its constitution. However, no talks will be held with the enemies and terrorists.

Mohsin Naqvi visit Balochistan following BLA attacks

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Senator Mohsin Naqvi will pay a visit to Balochistan on Tuesday on the directive of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif following the recent incidents of terrorism across the terror-stricken province.

In Quetta, the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti will preside over the meeting related to law and order.

The Provincial Ministers, the Balochistan Inspector General (IG) of Police Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, and top Officials of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) will participate in the meeting.

Earlier on Monday, at least 50 people including 14 security men were killed in various parts of Balochistan as dozens of militants affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) went on a rampage across the province, storming police stations, blowing up railway tracks, and setting fire to almost three dozen vehicles.

In subsequent military operations, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the security forces and LEAs neutralized 21 militants in Balochistan.

Born in Lyallpur (now Faisalabad) in 1971, Azhar earned a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design with a Photography major from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore, and an M. Phil in Media Studies from Riphah University, Islamabad, focusing on ethical issues in photojournalism at public places.

With 12 solo photography exhibitions to his name, Azhar Hafeez’s black and white images and his four books – Bila Unwaan (Volumes 1 & 2), Laylpurya, and Photographer – reveal the subtle nuances of human experience through striking simplicity.

40 killed in latest BLA attacks in Balochistan

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), the banned militant group in Balochistan, has killed at least 40 people across the province as part of its “Operation Herof” in the latest attacks which coincides with the 18th anniversary of the killing of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.

The prominent Baloch politician and tribal chief Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation on August 26, 2006, sparking deadly protests and inflaming the insurgency in Balochistan.

The armed men affiliated with the BLA, as the terror group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, launched attacks last night and today’s morning in Balochistan’s Musakhail, Mastung, Kalat, Lasbela, Pasni, Sibi, Panjgur, and Suntsar areas, resulting in multiple fatalities.

Besides targeting levies forces and police stations in the province, terrorists also killed 23 travellers after offloading them from trucks and buses in the Rarasham area of the Musakhel district while they also blew up a railway track connecting Pakistan and Iran.

Meanwhile, the security forces and law enforcement agencies responded effectively to these attacks, and eliminated 21 terrorists.

However, the operations against the attackers resulted in the martyrdom of 14 security personnel including 10 soldiers and four law enforcement officers, as per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In his statement, the Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that these destructive incidents are a conspiracy to create instability in Pakistan, adding that the enemy wants to create anarchy in the Country under a well-thought plan.

The interior minister vowed to take every possible step to restore law and order in Balochistan.

Chinese PLA Ground Forces’ Commander lauds Pakistan’s efforts in fostering regional peace, stability

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Commander of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Ground Forces General Li Qiaoming met the Minister for Defence & Defence Producton Khawaja Mohammad Asif in his Office Islamabad on Monday.

In the meeting, the visiting dignitary commended Pakistan’s efforts in fostering regional peace and stability, as well as Pakistan Armed Forces’ role in combating terrorism.

The minister appreciated long history of Pak-China relations in all fields, adding that these relations are focused on welfare of people of both countries and are not against any other Country. He also said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with China.

The defence minister appreciated existing bilateral mechanisms like Strategic Dialogue, Consular Consultations and Counter Terrorism Consultations. He mentioned that the strategic relations between the two neighbouring nations are based on mutual trust.

Khawja Asif pointed out that Pakistan deeply appreciates China’s diplomatic and material support in its fight against terrorism at regional and international fora. He expressed that Pakistan-China Security Cooperation is pillar of regional stability.

The minister said that bilateral cooperation in security/intelligence sharing has increased amidst growing threats/advent of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The defence minister reiterated that Pakistan is committed to stability and peace in the region with particular focus on its relations with Afghanistan. He maintained that a peaceful Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan and to the whole region.

Both sides acknowledged the strong relationship between their armed forces and committed to further expand defense collaboration.

PM Shahbaz orders best treatment of Jansher Khan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former renowned squash player and World Champion Jansher Khan met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Monday.

In the meeting, the prime minister paid tribute to Jansher Khan for winning multiple times World Champion and British Open Champion. He said that Jansher Khan’s services for promoting this sport are valuable.

The prime minister issued directives to the relevant authorities to take all possible measures regarding the treatment of Jansher Khan.

Separately, the senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Murtaza Javed Abbasi also held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed progress on development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and party matters.

Security forces kill 21 terrorists in Balochistan, 14 security personnel martyred: ISPR

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) killed 21 terrorists when the latter attempted to conduct numerous heinous activities in Balochistan on the night of August 25/26, 2024, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

However, 14 personnel of security forces were also martyred during the conduct of operations against terrorists.

The ISPR said that on behest of inimical and hostile forces, these cowardly acts of terrorism were aimed at disrupting the peaceful environment and development of Balochistan by targeting mainly the innocent civilians, especially in Musa Khel, Kalat and Labela districts.

Resultantly, numerous innocent civilians embraced shahadat.

In Musa Khel District, terrorists stopped a bus in general area Rara Sham and maliciously targeted innocent citizens, working in Balochistan to earn their livelihood.

The ISPR said that the security forces and LEAs immediately responded and successfully thwarted the evil design of terrorists and sent 21 terrorists to hell in ensuing clearance operations, ensuring security and protection of local populace.

The Pakistan army’s media wing said that during the operations, 14 brave sons of soil including 10 security forces soldiers and 4 LEAs personnel, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.

The ISPR said that the sanitization operations are being conducted and the instigators, perpetrators, facilitators and abettors of these heinous and cowardly acts, targeting innocent civilians, will be brought to justice.

It said that the security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
