HealthYDA threatens to disrupt Metro Bus inaugural ceremony

LAHORE: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) would disrupt the inauguration ceremony of Metro Bus Service scheduled to take place at Nishter Colony Lahore on Sunday unless the Provincial government fulfills its demands, medics announced on Friday.

The Punjab government would be held responsible if any unwanted incident happened if they were stopped to participate in the ceremony, YDA said, adding that it would end its ongoing hunger strike only after provincial government’s assurance that it will accept their demands.

Talking to media persons at their camp, YDA members, whose strike continued for the fifth consecutive day, reiterated their demands for provision of funds for free treatment of patients, and repair of out-of-order machines in government hospitals.
