Lahore: The District Returning Officer has issued arrest warrants against 1,000 government employees over refusal to perform election duties.

According to details, these officials were summoned repeatedly to appear in the election offices and collect ballot boxes but they failed to show up.

The District Returning Officer has now issued arrests warrants of some 1000 employees, and ordered concerned SHOs to arrest and produce them before court.
