ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced on Tuesday that re-polling at 43 polling stations in Karachi’s NA-250 constituency would be held on May 19.

The ECP decision comes in the wake of reports of irregularities and rigging. Pakistan Tahreek Insaf’s Arif Alavi and Khushbakht Shujaat of Muttihada Qaumi Movement leveled rigging allegations rigging against each other in the constituency.

The polling stations where re-polling would occur are: 4, 7, 11, 48, 52, 56, 57, 58, 60, 62, 78, 97, 98, 100, 101, 104, 106, 109, 110, 113, 114, 115, 117, 121, 122, 131, 135, 136, 137, 139, 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 148, 165, 168, 175, 177, 179, 180, 157.

Meanwhile‚ the Election Commission accepting the application of PTI’s Jehangir Tareen directed Returning Officer of NA-154 Lodhran to recount votes polled in the constituency.
