ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday approved the appointment of seven Additional Judges in Peshawar High Court (PHC), Dispatch New Desk (DND) reported.

The President gave his approval to the judges’ appointment on the advice of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Sharaf.

The seven judges include Justice Syed Afsar Shah‚ Justice Lal Jan Khattak‚ Justice Ikramullah Khan‚ Justice Abid Latif Khan‚ Justice Muhammad Daud Khan‚ Justice  Musarrat Hilali and Justice Malik Manzoor Hussain.

Separately, President Zardari confirmed grant of six months extension in tenure of six Additional Judges in Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday.

The judges are Justice Abdul Sami Khan‚ Justice Ibad ur Rehman Lodhi‚ Justice Shujaat Ali Khan‚ Justice Ayesha A. Malik‚ Justice Shahid Waheed and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi.

Recommendations in this regard were given by Judicial Commission and unanimously agreed by Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment.
