NEW YORK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address the 68th session of the UN General Assembly today (Friday) in which he will highlight Pakistan’s point of view on various regional and international issues besides domestic priorities.

The official sources said that the prime minister would raise the issue of US missile strikes on Pakistan’s soil during his address to the UN General Assembly.

The prime minister would raise his voice against US drone strikes in Pakistani tribal areas, besides highlighting Pakistan’s sacrifices being rendered in US-led war against terrorism.

The sources said that the prime minster would also seek assistance from US, G8 countries and the European Union under the slogan of ‘trade, not aid.’
