LAHORE: Total 453 road traffic accidents were reported in Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all 36 Districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours, in which 05 lives was lost and 359 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant district. However, some 161 victims sustaining minor injuries were provided first on the spot.

According to the details, 172 drivers, 14 Underage Drivers, 74 pedestrians and 279 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic accidents. The statistics show 112 RTAs were reported in Lahore Control Room, which affected 113 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by 46 RTAs in Faisalabad with 55 victims and Multan remained at third position with 23 RTAs and 30 victims.

The details further show that total 525 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 429 males and 96 females, while age group of the victims show that  73 were under 18 year of age, 313 were between 18 and 40 year and rest of the 139 victims were reported above 40 years. According to the data, 354 motorbikes, 48 auto rickshaws, 43 motor cars, 21 vans, 4 passenger buses, 18 trucks and 65 other types of auto vehicles and slow moving carts were involved in aforesaid road traffic accidents.
