ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal has said that Pakistan welcomes Sikh pilgrims from across the world for the historic Opening of Kartarpur Corridor to be held on November 9.
The inauguration of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor will be performed by Prime Minister Imran Khan at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Kartarpur, Narowal district on the 550th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.
Around 15,000 Sikh Yatrees (Pilgrims) have already arrived in Lahore via Wagah Border to participate in 550th Birth Anniversary Ceremonies of their spiritual leader Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In a statement on Wednesday, Dr Faisal said that to facilitate Yatrees’ spiritual journey, our missions continue to extend maximal visa assistance to pilgrims.
The Spokesperson said that Pakistan has ensured that the religious sentiments of Nanak Naamlevas, especially Sikhs, are fully respected and all the needs of the pilgrims are catered for.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood briefed the Diplomatic Corps at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad today regarding the Opening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor.
The Opening of Kartarpur Corridor will enable 5,000 pilgrims from neighboring India to visit Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Kartarpur per day by paying a nominal amount of US$ 20 as service fee.
Their visit will be visa-free while the condition of producing their passports on their arrival to Pakistan has also now been waived off.
