Pakistan vaccinates record 562,051 people but positivity ratio jumps to 6.1%

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan vaccinated record 562,051 people on July 15; however, it faces another surge in Coronavirus Cases as the positivity ratio has now jumped to 6.1%.

With more people being vaccinated in the last 24 hours, now the total number of doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered so far in the Country has risen to 22,222,701.

Meanwhile, 31 more people succumbed to COVID-19 and 2,327 contracted the virus in the last 24 hours.

The latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Friday morning showed that 37,690 people were tested for Coronavirus on July 15 and with a 6.1% positivity ratio, 2,327 of them were found infected indicating that the fourth wave has almost struck the Country as being anticipated.

Now with fresh statistics pouring in, the total number of Coronavirus Cases in the Country has mounted to 983,719 while the death toll has reached 22,720.

As per the NCOC’s data, 917,329 people have so far recovered from the disease in the Country while 2,388 are still under treatment.
