MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the ruling Hindutva regime in India wants to further suppress the voice of innocent Kashmiris under the garb of measures against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

While addressing a meeting in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday, the president said that the Indian forces are committing atrocities against Muslims in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and Pakistan will continue to expose India’s fascism at all international forums.

Dr. Arif Alvi said that the entire Country including Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan is united in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. He said that it’s been their endeavor to maintain the environment of national unity and solidarity.

The president also commended the AJK government for taking effective and timely measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

Earlier, the president was given a detailed briefing about various steps taken by the AJK government to fight the COVID-19.

The Azad Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan and Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider welcomed President Arif Alvi and appraised him about the Coronavirus situation in the region.

President Arif Alvi also handed over protective equipment for doctors and health workers to the AJK government.

The Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal also accompanied the President of Pakistan.
