ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Country recorded 1,974 new Coronavirus Cases and suffered 55 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC).

In the last 24 hours, 32,205 COVID tests were conducted across the Country which found 1,974 people positive.

Out of 55 fatalities recorded on December 27, 22 occurred in Sindh, 21 in Punjab, 7 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 2 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

On December 27, the national positivity ratio stood at 6.13% whereas in terms of Cities, the highest positivity ratio was observed in Abbottabad 15.95% followed by Karachi 14.81% and Hyderabad 14.47%.

The positivity ratio in various federating units is as:



AJK 12.54%, Balochistan is 2.71%, Gilgit-Baltistan 0%, Islamabad 5.94%, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5.16%, Punjab 4.06%, and Sindh 8.61%

So far 423,892 COVID-19 patients have been recovered across Pakistan making it a significant count.

The total active COVID Cases in Pakistan as of December are 39,488 while 2,263 patients are in critical condition.

Since February 26 to date, a total of 473,309 Coronavirus Cases have been detected across Pakistan including 211,276 in Sindh, 136,147 in Punjab, 57,467 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 37,272 in ICT, 18,082 in Balochistan, 8,215 in AJK, and 4,850 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Likewise, the Country so far suffered 9,929 deaths including 3,921 in Punjab, 3,491 in Sindh, 1,609 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 407 in ICT, 218 in AJK, 182 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
