Pakistan, India to sign a deal to open bank branches soon

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India would sign an agreement in March to open bank branches in Karachi and Mumbai, the much-awaited banking links which would give a boost to trade and commerce.

The Indian media quoted Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan TCA Raghavan as saying while speaking to the business community at the head office of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Friday.

The Indian ambassador said that India wanted to provide all possible support to the business community of Pakistan to help the two countries increase bilateral trade.
