Pakistan, Egypt agree to enhance cooperation in IT & Telecommunication

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Egypt have agreed to increase their bilateral cooperation in the field of Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication.

The understanding was reached when the Egyptian Ambassador in Pakistan Dr. Tarek Dahroug met the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Federal Secretary Ministry of IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui and the Member IT Syed Junaid Imam were also present in the meeting.Information Technology - Pakistan and Egypt have agreed to increase their bilateral cooperation in the field of Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication. The understanding was reached when the Egyptian Ambassador in Pakistan Dr. Tarek Dahroug met the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque in Islamabad on Tuesday.  The Federal Secretary Ministry of IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui and the Member IT Syed Junaid Imam were also present in the meeting.  During the meeting, matters of mutual interests and related to information technology were discussed.  The Federal Minister for IT said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with Egypt.  Syed Amin Ul Haque said that the Ministry of IT is taking every possible steps for the promotion of information technology and digitalization in Pakistan.  Establishing of the IT Parks and provision of Broadband Services across the Country are included in our priorities, he added.  The Egyptian ambassador said that the performance of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication is laudable and Egypt wants collaboration between the two Countries in the field of information technology and telecommunication.  Earlier, the Federal Secretary Ministry of IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui briefed the Egyptian ambassador about the Ministry of IT’s functions and projects.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interests and related to information technology were discussed.

The Federal Minister for IT said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with Egypt.

Syed Amin Ul Haque said that the Ministry of IT is taking every possible steps for the promotion of information technology and digitalization in Pakistan.

Establishing of the IT Parks and provision of Broadband Services across the Country are included in our priorities, he added.
