Islamabad, Pakistan: Pakistan Army has taken notice of the propaganda campaign that has been launched against state institutions after the former Prime Minister Imran Khan was voted out.

Formation Commanders expressed complete confidence in leadership’s well-considered stance to uphold the constitution and rule of law, at all costs.

According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the 79th Formation Commanders’ Conference was held at GHQ. General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) presided over the conference. The conference was attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers, and all Formation Commanders of the Pakistan Army.

The Conference took note of the recent propaganda campaign by some quarters to malign Pakistan Army and create division between the institution and society.

“Pakistan Army is aware of its responsibilities and shall continue to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan against all internal and external threats under all circumstances”, COAS concluded.

The National Security of Pakistan is sacrosanct. Pakistan Army has always stood by the state institutions to guard it and always will, without any compromise. The forum expressed complete confidence in leadership’s well-considered stance to uphold the constitution and rule of law, at all costs.

It may be noted that a large number of politicians of PTI had been blatantly criticizing Pakistan Army on their social media accounts as well as in public meetings where highly objectionable language had been used, particularly in the Lahore PTI protest. It is pertinent to mention that the higher judiciary is also under the social media attacks and a well-planned campaign against Pakistan Army and higher Judiciary has apparently been designed to malign the state institutions and create right among them.
