RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Two Pakistan army soldiers embraced Shahadat (martyrdom) in an exchange of fire with terrorists in South Waziristan, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
In a statement, the ISPR said that as part of the operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, the security forces conducted a successful Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in village Spina Mela near Ladha, South Waziristan.
The ISPR said that the IBO was launched on reports of presence of few terrorists who had entered the area morphed into returning temporarily dislocated persons (TDPs).
It said that after exchange of heavy fire six terrorists including high value target terrorist Nanakar involved in killing of local population and Maliks were killed.
However, during exchange of fire, Havaldar Razzaq Khan and Havaldar Mumtaz Hussain embraced Shahadat, the ISPR added.
The ISPR said that weapon and ammo were also recovered along with communication sets through which terrorists were in communication with their handlers across the border in Afghan Province Paktia.
