QUETTA, Pakistan: Pakistan’s most volatile province of Balochistan again bathed in blood on Wednesday when unknown assistants gunned down four security forces personnel in Quetta, the Provincial Capital.

Police said that the firing incident took place in Dukkani Baba area of Sariab Road in Quetta wherein the assailants targeted a vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC).

Talking to media, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Quetta Razzaq Cheema told that the FC personnel were on routine patrol when they were attacked by miscreants.

The DIG termed the firing incident in Quetta as another act of targeted killing.

The dead bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta while the security forces initiated an investigation into the incident after cordoning off the area.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the firing incident on a security forces’ vehicle in Quetta.

In a statement, Shahbaz Sharif said that the martyrs are the hero of the whole nation. He said that the nation salutes those who have sacrificed their precious lives to establish peace in the Country.

“Terrorists are the enemy of humanity. Such cowardly attempts can’t shake the devotion of Pakistani nation,” he said.

The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also condemned Quetta incident and expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of four security personnel.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the security forces have been fighting against terrorism with bravery. He said that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go waste.

“Our nation and armed forces will defeat terrorism unitedly,” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said.
