CHAMAN, Pakistan: Eight persons including police and security forces personnel were injured on Monday morning in back to back bomb blasts in Chaman area of Balochistan’s Killa Abdullah district.
The first blast occurred near the office of the Special Branch on Chaman’s Mall Road in which one person was injured.
Officials said the bomb, a time-bound explosive, was placed inside construction material next to the Special Branch office.
As security forces reached the site of the first blast, a second explosion occurred.
In the second blast, which occurred near a police picket close to the place of the first incident, around seven people were injured including officials of police, Frontier Corps (FC) and Levies.
The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital and were said to be out of danger.
A police vehicle, motorcycle and rickshaw were damaged in the blast.
Meanwhile, Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) cordoned off the area and launched a search operation following the incident.
