Multan, Pakistan:  The story of martyrdom continues in Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad as Sepoy Kamran embraced Shahadat in Chhera Thal Dera Ghazi Khan on Sunday.

According to details, Pakistan Rangers Punjab conducted an operation in Chhera Thal area in D.G. Khan Division on Sunday after receiving information that high profiled terrorists were present in Thal area around 40 km South West of summer resort of Fort Manro.

Chhera Thal area is located on borders of three provinces and had been a notorious place as a hideout for criminals and police forces of Punjab, Balochistan and  Sindh provinces had been reluctant to action against criminals in this desert cum rocky terrain.

Punjab Rangers got information that Zulfiqar alias Zulfi who was wanted in seven cases of terrorism was present in Thal. Zulfi had been attacking law enforcing agencies and had links with Baluchistan Liberation Army (Harbiyar Marri Group). Operation was conducted to arrest Zulfi along with another terrorists Peer Baksh alias Peera. However, Zulfi refused to surrender and attacked Rangers; resulting a heavy exchange of fire that continued for over one hour.

Pakistan Rangers authorities confirmed that Sepoy Kamran got bullet injuries and he embraced Shahadat at spot while five terrorists were also killed in operation.

Namaze Janaza of Shaheed Sepoy Kamran was offered at Multan Garrison that was attended by Corps Commander Multan Lieutenant General Sarfraz Sattar and Director General Rangers Punjab Major General Azhar Naveed Hayat along with their officers and soldiers.

Shaheed Sepoy Kamran belonged to Jaranwala, district Faisalabad of Punjab province.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
