RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A Pakistan army soldier embraced martyrdom (Shahadat) in a terrorist attack in Boyya area of North Waziristan tribal region, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
In a press release, the ISPR said that the firing and an improvised explosive device (IED) attack was carried out on a vehicle of Pakistan army which was on a routine patrolling in Boyya, North Waziristan.
The ISPR said that 26-year-old Sepoy Amil Shah embraced Shahadat in the attack.
It further said that terrorist activities in North Waziristan have increased lately, and during last one month, five soldiers have got martyred and 31 got injured due to terrorist actions.
The ISPR said that arrest of facilitators linked to these terrorists activities led to Khar Qamar check post incident on May 26.
