RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan has killed four terrorists when the former conducted Sanitisation Operations as part of the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement issued on Friday, the ISPR said that the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad continues successfully across the Country.
The ISPR said that the FC Balochistan conducted a Sanitisation Operation in mountainous area of northern Sibbi over the information of presence of terrorists.
It said that during the Operation, two terrorists were killed in the exchange of firing with FC personnel. It added that the terrorists had been making threat calls to the local residents.
In addition, the Sanitisation Operation was also held in Gandamugazai Kaur area of Turbat wherein two more terrorists hidden in a secret hideout were killed by the FC Balochistan.
The ISPR further said that the Frontier Corps also recovered heavy cache of weapons and ammunition from the terrorists.
The Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched in February 2017 by Pakistan army to disarm and eliminate the hidden terrorist sleeper cells across the Country.
On December 19, while briefing the Senate Committee of the Whole House on national security, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza told that since the launch of the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, 1,410 including 29 major operations had been undertaken in Balochistan.
